Handlebar Type: 2 types offer different riding positions for varying heights of rider and styles of riding:
Low: Shorter riders will find this a good all-round position and taller riders will be in a lower, sporty ride position, which may be preferable if the rider is used to a road bike.
Mid: Brompton's classic handlebar shape, which for most riders provides an all-round, neutral position. Shorter riders will find this offers a more upright, leisurely position and taller riders will find this still gives a slightly sporty position.
Information on Seatpost Length-Balfe's offer the Standard post (comes fitted to low/mid handlebar models) and Extended post (comes fitted to high handlebar models) on our bikes, however the telescopic post is available to purchase separately:
Standard: Suitable for those with an inside leg measurement of 33 inches / 84 cm maximum.
Extended: 2.5 inches / 60mm longer than the standard. This seatpost option does leave the saddle higher when the bike is folded and therefore the below option may suit you if you wish to keep the bike as small as possible when folded.
Telescopic: Designed for those with an inside leg greater than 35 inches / 89cm
Next level frameThe T Line is lighter, faster, and even more fun. With a re-engineered all-titanium frame that’s ultralight and as strong as steel, and super responsive carbon components, you feel the wow with every ride.
Manufacture
All Brompton titanium framesets start their life as a set of tubes in a specialist TIG welding factory in Sheffield, 300km north of Brompton's London factory. Brompton built this dedicated space as titanium requires different skills, machinery, and processes to steel.
All-new Wheelset
Brompton's lightest, sturdiest wheelset. With a new rear hub designed ground-up to accommodate the new compact 4-speed gear set. Tested on a purpose-made rig and fired with mud, water and sand for hundreds of hours. This wheelset stands up to the abuse of the city. Now fitted with hex key axles and a new hanger mount, so removing them for roadside repairs or maintenance is quick and easy.
