The Gavia lite jacket is a light version of Castelli's jacket built to help you enjoy days where there's no choice but to ride in the rain, when most people would stay home.
It's highly waterproof and totally windproof, offering protection out of proportion to its weight.
These amazing qualities are achieved through the use of triple layer, mid-weight Gore-Tex® fabric, built with weatherproofing in mind. The cut, meanwhile, is fitted but not slim, so that there's room to fit an insulation layer or two underneath it, without either much bulk or excess fabric, which could lead to flapping in the wind.
Finally, this featherweight shell is made with many of Castelli's features conceived to boost your comfort on a long ride. These include a long tail to keep wheel spray off your legs, a covered vent on your upper back to promote air flow and heat loss without rain entry, three roomy rear pockets with laser-cut drainage holes, so that your spares and gels will stay dry, and finally a waterproof zip that's covered and slightly offset, so it will keep you dry without irritating your neck as you ride.
